6050 acceleromter sampling rate

What is the highest sampling rate that the 6050 supports for accelerometer readings? I thought it was 1kHz but the UDL appears to support up to 200Hz, is that just a limitation of the UDL itself or is the device only capable of streaming samples at 200Hz over SPI or I2C. Should I be able to use motionSDK to create a custom logger that supports 1KHz sampling rate?
