What happens when the 160 dB SPL absolute maximum is surpassed. We are expecting a maximum of ~185 dB SPL as an impulse, not for an extended period of time. In a use case like this would you expect damage to occur on the microphone or just distortion and clipping? We are looking to use this microphone purely as a trigger, not for any processing, all we need is a voltage out when the sound occurs.
