Calculate temperature from ITG3200

Hello,

I am having problems interpreting the specifications of the ITG-3200 sensor.
When I read the temperature output I get 0xC4 for TEMP_OUT_H and 0x82 for TEMP_OUT_L.
How do I convert this to a temperature in °C?
The datasheet provides some information but it does not explicitly state what algorithm to use.
All sample code I have seen on the web seems random to me, adding 35°C or doing other things I cannot relate to the datasheet.
