CH101 short range detection

By jhleehedykr , 2 August 2023

Hi,
I'm testing using DK-CH101 and EV_MOD_CH101-01-02 to apply to short range sensing.
In the datasheet, it is mentioned that at least 4cm detection is possible if CH101's Short range FW (CH101 GPR SR) is selected and used.

As a result of the short range detection test, up to about 8.6 cm was detected normally, but from 8.6 cm, the normal range and the error range were alternately detected. (Target is dynamic)
At a short range(below 8.6cm), when the target is stationary, the normal range cannot be detected, and only the error range is detected.

Is there any way to detect the normal range at short range?

Thanks.

Hi, since you are using EV_MOD_CH101-01-02, it should be a 45 degree FOV horn . Could you please take a trial with the setting change like the attached picture? 'Narrow FoV w/ Short Range'

Hi,
Thank you for reply.
As your advice, I tried with 'Narrow FoV w/ Short Range'.
However, the result is not good than before(short range).

In Narrow FoV Short Range mode, error range detected from 13cm(in short range mode, from 8.6cm)

Changing the Static Rejection Range to 0% or 100% gives the same result.

Thanks.
