I received an End-of-Life notification for the MPU-9250 (QFN24). Digikey suggests the ICM-20948 (QFN24) as an alternative. At first glance they seem to be pin compatible. Does someone know by any chance whether this is really the case? We got some old batch of PCBs where we used a MPU-9250 and which we might assemble in the future. So is it safe to assume that we can simply mount the ICM-20948 instead? Are the register maps also backwards comptabible? How likely is it that we wouldn't even have to update our firmware?
