Hello,
I am currently working on a student project in which we want to use Your MPU-6000 IMU and Embedded MotionApps for autonomous micro-air-vehicles.
We originaly planed to try to implement 9-axis sensor fusion with the Honeywell HMC5883l compass because this chip is easier to obtain then the AKM8975 You are suggesting. However since You recently anounced the release of the MPU-9159 which contains an AKM8975 we are rethinking our choice.
So I would like to ask You some questions regarding the AKM AK8975 and Embedded MotionApps:
1. "Embedded MotionAppsâ„¢ User Guide for v2.0.0" document provided in Your download section referes to an "ak8975.c" source file (page 12) which should be included in the source code You are providing. However the source code I downloaded from Your webside does not seem to include such a file. Is there another way to obtain it?
2. Page 15 of the same document referes to an libak8975 calibration library which does not come with Your code but has to bee obtained from AKM. Since the MPU-6000 comes with an AK8975 I wonder if maybe future releases of Your Embedded MotionApps will include the calibration functions for the AK8975?
3. Regarding the HMC-5883l: Is there any additonal information about using other compasses with Your Embedded MotionApps then the AK8675? I especially would like to ask what characteristics a compass must have to be compatible, how a driver file for the compass should look like (which functions to provide?) and how to include own calibration libraries in Your source code?
I would be very grateful if You could answer at least a few of my questions.
Tobias B.

Re: Re: Embedded MotionApps and AKM AK8975 calibration library
You should contact the magnetometer vendor directly to obtain the information requested below about the calibration library.
