E_MPU6050A/EVB_INVARM_A sensor data not calibrated

I am having trouble getting this evaluation device to calibrate using a usb connection.

I can get the port open and can communicate with the ARM with a serial terminal .
Using the MPU 6050 PC Demo [ver 2.11] the message is "Port opened, sensor data not calibrated" . I am using a Win 7 Pro SP1 64bit system
The version from the Eval unit is MPU6050xx V1.3.1 EVB

Any help?
