errors in embedded motiondriver 5.1

I'm having some concerns with embedded motiondriver 5.1. I have downloaded a clean version of the code however opening it up in CCS I am getting some errors
the first error is in usb.c on line 392 the error message is: "#20 identifier UPCS0 is undeclared" and also "C:/ti/ccsv5/utils/bin/gmake" is not found in PATH"

I assume I much have not set something up properly but as there is nothing regarding either of these in the user guide I have to resort to sending a message on here.
