Would it be possible to have examples of main.c files for the eMPL, that are different from the one that is already flashed inside the sensor now? Particularly, it would be great to have the complete code to get linear accelerations in the buffer for example.

Besides what is available in the main.c file there are some additional code examples in the MotionFit Activity Recognition white paper, available for download under the Knowledge Center tab.
