External Magnetometer(HMC5883) With Motion Driver 5.1

Hi!
I want to use an external magnetometer with MPU-6050. I have gone through the code of the driver. Is the DMP image dependent on the AK8975 data or can we modify the main driver code and use an external magnetometer with the same DMP image.
