I can read but I can't write registers on MPU6000

By peter_chang , 20 March 2012

I can read data from my MPU6000 just fine. When I write to a register, the MPU6000 acknowledges a successful write. When I read the register that I just wrote, it has the original value. It's as if the part is locked, and I can't write to it. I hooked a scope up to the I2C lines, and the data sent to the MPU6000 looks correct. I tried writing several registers that are listed as R/W in the Register Map document, such as registers 1D-22. Am I missing something obvious? Do I need to unlock the part before I can write to it?

TIA,
Osman
