ICS-40619 used single-ended

By janlinearaudionet , 4 March 2020

Hello, first time here. Tech question on the ICS-40619 which has a differential pair output. We have arrays with those and would like to use them in single-ended mode, just using one output. Are there any issues when using only one output? What is the DC offset at each output? Are the two outputs equivalent as to linearity and "quality"? Much oblighed if anyone here has that info.

thanks, Jan Didden, Linear Audio

You should be able to use it as signal-ended microphone by connecting to only one output terminal. The DC offset is specified int he datasheet. The + and - output have the same quality except they are 180 degrees inverted.
