Linear velocity accuracy with 6050?

Does anyone know what kind of linear velocity accuracy is achievable with the 6050?

We'd like to follow short hand strokes, e.g. moving 1-10cm/s. During each stroke we'd like to know velocity to ~5% accuracy. It may be that we can reset drift after each stroke, so drift would only accumulate for a few seconds.

What's the best way of using the 6050 to achieve this?
