MPL 6.1 Linking Problem

I'm getting a link warning in Code Composer Studio when trying to include the MPL 6.1 library in a new project.

#10373-D library "C:/.../Invensense/motion_driver_6.1/msp430/eMD-6.0/core/mpl/libmplmpu.lib" contains TI-COFF object files which are incompatible with the ELF output file. Ensure you are using the proper library. ... C/C++ Problem

The documentation says that the library was compiled using "GCC NONE-ARM-EABI 4.7.2 compiler", which makes me think that it should work.

Can someone help to shed some light on what's going on?
