MPU-6500 Can be VDDIO greater than VDD?

Hello guys!

MCU is connected to 3.3V supply. When we used I2C, MPU-6500 was connected to 2.5V supply through LDO to minimize noise (3.3V is noisy in our case) with pull-ups connected to 2.5V. It worked well, but now we want to use SPI(speed needed) and that will introduce 3.3V on MPU pins connected to MCU. So question is:
Can be VCCIO connected to 3.3V and Vdd to 2.5V?

Datasheet says: Input Voltage Level (AUX_DA, AD0, FSYNC, INT, SCL, SDA) -0.5V to VDD + 0.5V

That probably means that if VDD is 2.5V than no more than 3.0V can be an other pins.

If so, can be VCCIO connected to 3.3V and Vdd to 3.0V for example?

Thank you!
