MPU6050 Evaluation board

Hi,
I just got an evaluation board for the 6050 (EV_INVARM_A, EV_MPU6050_A) and I tried running the PC Lite Demo V4.1.3 (https://invensense.tdk.com/downloads/PC-Demo-UI-Lite-MPU-6050.zip) with no real results: according to the app, only the magnetometer data was coming in, the gyro and accel graph showed no data coming in and trying to log any data caused the app to crash.

I've also tried running your debug console (UC3umplDebugConsole.py) as it seems to use the same protocol to communicate with the board ('$' as the sync byte, etc.) but again I get an error (error! calPacketHandler in state 2 got err <__main__.calDataPacket object 0x00000000026FDD68>). Is this protocol that you use documented? I couldn't find anything.

At this point I'm just trying to get data off the board (acceleration and quaternions) for analysis and nothing seems to work. Do I need to run another version of the PC demo for this board?
