We're clocking an MPU6050 with a 19.2MHz oscillator, whose accuracy is +/- 50 parts per million. We'd expect that the 8KHz gyroscope output rate would then have a similiar accuracy, when CLKSEL = 5.
For example, if we set SMPLRT_DIV to 39, we'd expect that the long term rate to be very close to 200Hz; instead, we're seeing 199.64Hz.
So, that makes us wonder what the accuracy is of the gyroscope output rate. Is it produced by a PLL, and if so, what is it's rated accuracy? Or is it produced by dividing down the 19.2MHz oscillator, which should then have very little error?
The datasheet is silent on this matter. Thanks.
