I have two different Windows 7 tablets (ViewSonic ViewPad 10pi and Dell Latitude ST), but I cannot get the Universal Data Logger application to connect to the sensor on either tablet. The drivers install successfully and Windows assigns a COM port. It shows up in the Device Manager as "InvenSense Virtual COM Port", but the UDL seems to always report that it cannot connect to the sensor. I tried it on a desktop machine and the same sequence of steps get data from the sensor.
I've tried removing all other virtual ports from the machines (including nonpresent devices). I've tried using a hub, both self powered and bus powered. I've tried different COM port numbers, both above and below COM4.
Here is what I'm seeing on the ARMEVB. It has a red power LED that comes on whenever power is applied. There is also a green LED that comes on sometimes. I've noticed a consistent pattern in the green LED once the drivers have been installed. During driver installation the pattern is different.
Desktop - 13 blinks and goes out (after which I can connect)
ViewPad - 1 blink and goes out
Latitude - green LED never comes on
USB Charger (power only) - green LED blinks continuously
How can I get data from the MPU9150 onto the tablet?
