Quaternion Order

The rotation of a triad orthogonal axis set from one position to another in free space can be accomplished by a sequence of three rotations about each of the three axes in sequence. There are a finite but distinct number of such transformation sequences each with its own unique Quaternion and associated Euler angles.
Invensense offers output of Euler angles and associated quaternions. Could you please advise whether these are specific to one transformation sequence only, or derived from a free choice via a selection of the possible options?
If the former case applies can you please specify which transformation sequence is used.
