I would like to remove the battery from the MotionFit board. I have a need to install it inside of an enclosure where it will have a permanent USB connection to a CPU. As such I would prefer not to have the battery which takes up valuable space.
Simply disconnecting the battery leads seems to result in the board not functioning (No LEDs light up when turned on). Has anyone attempted this? Based on the schematic I'm not sure why removing the battery leads does not work.
Alternatively, can anyone suggest a USB OR Serial (RS-232/422/485) breakout board for the 9150 that does not have a battery?
