A-scan that detects two people at same range

Hello!

I’ve been experimenting with the CH201 developer kit and SonicLink software.

My understanding is that the CH201 can have a FOV of up to 180 degrees.

Does this mean it can detect amplitude at every degree within this range, from 0 to 180 degrees?

For instance, if I mount the CH201 on the ceiling and position two people equidistant from the sensor, should it register two distinct amplitude spikes as illustrated in my diagram?

In my tests, the A-scan doesn’t seem to function this way. It only shows one spike at the range that the two people are, since they are the same distance away from the sensor.

Is there a way to achieve the result I'm seeking using SonicLink software?

Is this level of detail even possible with the sensor? Additionally, is there a specific term for this capability that I'm looking for?
