From an architectural point of view, the different types of compass devices supported by MPU6050 is determined by the embedded motion application software (software limitation) or is determined by the MPU6050 device itself (hardware limitation)?
To be clear, if I buy an MPU6050 today, i just have support for AKM compass device and I have to buy a new MPU6050 (tomorrow) in order to get support for other compass devices (when such of MPU would be available) or in future I just have to update embedded motion application software without changing the MPU6050 device?
