Universal datalogger + INV_ARM & MPU3300 problem!

By pras28 , 5 June 2014

Hi!

I just received my ARM board and MPU3300 evaluation board. I'm having problems with USB connection:

-I keep receiving error messages in UDL, "SPI connection not configured" if i choose SPI and "Can't connect to the sensor" if I choose I2C.
-Drivers seem to work ok: device is recognized as "Invensense virtual COM port"

1)How can I know that UDL finds the correct COM port? I can't find any setting for COM port selection in the software..

2) What is the function of the green LED? Sometimes its off, sometimes it blinks and sometimes its on. I couldn't find any info about it from documentation.

3) Should I choose different Vdd value than 3V for the ARM jumper? The sensor itself works with 3V but I was wondering if the eval board requires 5V for some reason?

4) Is there any other way to log data than UDL? Do you have for example some kind of macro language for ARM board so I could communicate directly via terminal software?

Hope you can answer quickly, I'm bit stuck with my studies now... Thanks in advance!
