By dan_leland , 11 March 2012

Hi,
what type of licence does the UMPL library have?

Hello,

InvenSense follows the business model that is typical for most chip companies. Our software is free to customers who purchase our silicon products.

Thank you.
InvenSense team.

Fantastic. I have 220 MPU-6050s and no software. The Embedded Motion Apps software that was in DK has gone. I have an MPU-9050 evaluation board, and there is no firmware available for it in source form--despite a nice pretty PDF telling you how to compile it under Code Composer.

So, where do we get all this scrummy 9DOF source code from? I don't think I'm the only one who would like to know...

Dear paul_l_curtis,

Under 'software' section of the Downloads page there are two sections.

The one under 'Atmel AVR UC3' has the 6-axis code all of it (other than DMP code) in source form.

The section under 'MotionFitâ„¢ Wireless SDK' has 9-axis code in library form compiled for the MSP430 MCU.

Please let me know if you are having difficulty accessing either one of these.

Thank you.
regards,
InvenSense team
