In the past I have been a harsh critic of Invensense when it came to their support of developers outside of large corporate customers.
Having received my MPU-9150 eval board, I would like to extend my gratitude to the employees at Invensense who have clearly put a tremendous amount of thought and effort into making this release accessible and useful to the broader community. I'm very impressed. While the company may be sticking to its guns with respect to their policy of not sharing low-level DMP documentation, this chip and accompanying software release finally provide the capabilities that I've been hoping for.
Kudos to the Invensense team for making it happen and for doing it on schedule this time.

@noazark
'm still harsh critic of Invensense when it comes to their support of developers outside of large corporate customers.
I don't see where Invensense sharing resources for developers. I'm from south kroea, i have my 6DoF motion sensing prototype and want to work with the new 9-axis mpu-9150. It doesn't even have data sheet here.
I don't see where is their "tremendous amount of thought and effort" to make this release accessible.
I accept capabilities of Steve Nasiri fabrication, amazing.
Dear Invensense, we( from universities & outside hobbyist developers) really disappointed :x about restricting access to resources here.
Re: Re: MPU-9150 MotionFit SDK gets it right (thanks!)
The data sheet will be available no later then April 16th
Re: Re: MPU-9150 MotionFit SDK gets it right (thanks!)
Hi, it's May 2. Can I ask what's expected next?
Re: Re: MPU-9150 MotionFit SDK gets it right (thanks!)
Of course. We are in the process of gathering new data for this chip. There will be a product spec available by late June/early July. In the meantime reviewing the discrete prodcut specs for the MPU-6050 and AKM 8975 compass will give you an accurate idea of the specifications.

Are we still looking at 2nd Quarter for availability of the MPU-9150? When I last heard from distributors, I was told that the chip would be 'released' late May early June?

Yes, we are still on target for a Q2 release.
