update to MotionFit Wireless SDK v5.1

Are there instructions available for updating my SDK boards to the latest software (v5.1) that was recently uploaded (10/22)?

Can I do this without CCS full version and a MSP430 FET?

The current software requires that you compile and download the new project using CCS and a JTAG connector. A CCS trial which is sufficient for compiling the project may be downloaded from TI.

Has anyone used the Spy-Bi-Wire interface rather than the full JTAG to reprogram the MSP430F5528 on the MotionFit SDK boards?

Looks like the Spy-Bi-Wire uses the same 4 pins that JTAG does, so all the pins should be accessible on the board.

This would allow use of the TI Launchpad ($4.30) rather than the MSP-FET430UIF ($100)

I have used MSP430-JTAG-TINY from Olimex to program MotionFit SDK.

It works fine. You need add this line to olidev.ini so the flashing program supports MSP430F5528:

:MSP430F5528 00004400 000243ff 00001800 000019ff
