Do accell and gyro FSR need to be set to 2g and 2000dps for DMP to function correctly ? If I change FSR I get odd DMP results but can't find a documented requirement anywhere.

Re: Re: Do FSR need to be 2g and 2000dps for DMP to function ...
You are right. I was using 4g for the accel and 1000 dps for the gyro and the quaternion returned by the DMP contained odd values. After restoring the default FSR values it is much more as expected

I though it was just me :)
We really do need Invensense to help out here a bit more.
Re: Re: Do FSR need to be 2g and 2000dps for DMP to function ...
Thanks a million for pointing this out. I set my accel to 4g and gyro to 1000dps and I'm also getting out very strange looking quaternions. Any body figure out what are the usable ranges or is it just the defaults that work?
Re: Re: Do FSR need to be 2g and 2000dps for DMP to function ...
We also would like to know whether the DMP firmware image provided with Motion Driver 5.1.2 works with FSR values other than the power-on default ranges of 2g and 2000dps, as set in mpu_init ()? We are interested in the quaternion output.
Re: Re: Do FSR need to be 2g and 2000dps for DMP to function ...
As of now only the deauflt, 2g/2000 dps are supported for the DMP.
