DK-42688-P issues and questions

Hi,

I'm working with DK-42688-P development board and noticed the following issues:

1. The provided schematic has a drop shadow making it difficult to read. Posted a question to the technical support team, awaiting response.
2. I'm powering my board via the FTDI USB, set the J1 configuration for SPI mode and I notice a 2.1V signal on FSYNC and MISO lines. Is this normal? What would be the normal states on these signals? Tried probing further and noticed the pinout in the schematic does not match the pinout as per the datasheet for U6 and U8 (MAX3378EEUD). Please provide explanation for this difference. Is there any updated schematic I need to look at?

3. I'm trying to use ICM-42688-P as a standalone without the on-board SAMG55 MCU. I'm integrating it with a PIC and would like to know if there is any support for this operation. How can I disable the on-board SAMG55 MCU and control the ICM-42688-P via an external processor. Please provide me with any support to achieve this.

Are you using the development board? I cant get it to work. I just get the message "Object reference not set to an instance of an object" when I press the "power" button on Smartmotion (v 4.2.6). Ive set the com port to 13 (ie greater than 10) . Is there something Im missing? It does look like communication is established as it reports "firmware version 1.0.22". However this is as far as I can get. Im using windows 11.

Hi Naina,

1-) I can help you with the question you posted to the technical support team, if you'd like.

2-) Could you tell me what position exactly you set up the J1? If you look at the TSSOP-14 package of the MAX3378EEUD schematic, you will notice that pinouts are matching with what we have on U6 and U8.

3-) You may be able to accomplish that. I can help you more, if you could tell more about your setup.

Please make sure all the necessary jumpers are placed before trying to get data out using SmartMotion platform.
