IIM-42652 anti-alias filter bandwitdh

By mgigantezerynthcom , 10 July 2023

Hello,
I'm using the IIM-42652 for acceleration monitoring and I wanted to enable the AAF for low frequencies. In the section "5.3 Anti-Alias Filter" of the datasheet there is a table for 3dB bandwidth settings ranging from 42 to 3979 Hz.
While from the "3.2 ACCELEROMETER SPECIFICATIONS" I see that for ODR <= 1Khz the "Low-Pass filter response" range goes from 5 to 500 Hz.
Is there any table for register settings for the 5-500Hz range?

Hi
For low pass filter setting look at GYRO_ACCEL_CONFIG0 register in section 14.4 of datasheet

Hi
The GYRO_ACCEL_CONFIG0 register looks related to UI filter to me, and not the Anti-alias one. I also guess you meant the section of 14.40, right? (just to be sure I have the right datasheet).

I am interested in the following registers: ACCEL_CONFIG_STATIC2, ACCEL_CONFIG_STATIC3, ACCEL_CONFIG_STATIC4
described in the sections 5.3, 16.1, 16.2, 16.3

The section 5.3 reports a table for the 42Hz - 3979Hz range.
-> I'd need the values for the 5Hz - 500Hz range. <-

Hello,

If it is not reported on datasheet, it might not be available. Let me check that out.

Hello Mustafa,
did you find anything?

Hi,

You need to use UI filter below 42Hz. AAF is not suitable.

Hi,
thank you very much for the feedback!

So, the datasheet should be updated. The section ā€œ3.2 ACCELEROMETER SPECIFICATIONSā€ contains wrong information. See my initial post and the relevant screenshots.
