IIM-42652 ACCEL works, but GYRO giving RESET values

I am trying to get the IIM-42652 to work, with little success. (I tried to upload files but wasn't able too. I can share snippets as needed) But I have been able to get the temperature and the Accelerometers to work. (although Z Axis keeps failing Self-Test). But the Gyros only return the Reset Values of 0x8000. My SPI is setup as 1 Byte at a time and running at 5Mhz in Mode 0. I am not using PIN 9, and have it set to FSYNC and off. Any help would be appreciated.
