Hey Everybody I have a few different issues; feel free to chirp in regarding either one.
I have a CH101-03 evaluation module and an CH101 demo kit with the sensor already mounted on the top board. I am looking to try out the pulse echo and pitch catch mode on the demo kit.
Issue #1: When I first received this demo kit I was able to set up the firmware and was running the pulse echo mode seamlessly. However, when I went to run the sensor a second time I was seeing varied results and seeing lots of noise in my readings. I was wondering if there is a specific reason for this noise, and if you knew of any remedy for it.
Issue #2 (most pressing): Before I got an answer for the question above, I just decided to give it a shot. However, about the fifth time running the demo board, I am getting an issue on the demo kit software where I can no longer connect any sensors and get a successful reading from both the SmartSonic Platform 1.11.7 and the SonicLink 2.1.1. As mentioned before, I was able to get successful readings on both of the software GUI tools; however, for some reason unknown, with any attempt to get a reading from the sensor im left with a Timeout Error response (in the case of the SonicLink 2.1.1 software) or a FW open error (in the case of SmartSonic platform 1.11.7). I was doing some digging on the forum and noticed others having a similar issue and one potential remedy was to flash the .elf file directly to the ATMEL chip on the demo board. Could you tell me how that is done along with any other troubleshooting remedies that I could possibly try to fix this issue?
Let me know if you need any more details! Thanks in advance.
Additionally, has anyone had any luck reaching out to the invensense support team?
Hey,
in document AN-000154 (can be found on the product page of CH101) there is a step-by-step guide to programming the smart sonic board. Perhaps this will help you with your issue #2.
